About the Role:
Join The Goddard School of Montville as a Preschool Assistant Teacher for a maternity leave position! Working Monday through Friday 9am to 6 pm, 40 hours per week. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's lives in a nurturing and engaging environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
- Support children's learning through play-based and hands-on experiences.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety and engagement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including record-keeping and planning.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; CDA or relevant degree preferred.
- Experience working in a preschool or early childhood education setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators.
- Passion for nurturing and educating young children.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Must pass background checks and adhere to state licensing requirements.
- Flexible and adaptable demeanor in a dynamic classroom environment.
